Having a positive mental attitude and being the ultimate optimist with a can do attitude does not mean that you have to do everything on your own!
I learned a very interesting lesson this week and I just wanted to share it with you because maybe you might find yourself in a similar situation and it may just shorten your learning curve. Until fairly recent times I was what you would call technology impaired, I thought tweeting was a sound birds made and facebook was a book containing photos of faces!
So from there to now having my own blog and marketing online, I have come a long way and I am so incredibly proud of what I have learned, but I kind of developed, an I can do it by myself attitude, I was learning so fast things were going gang busters, but, things really built up as I was attempting to learn more than one piece of software at a time as well as learning SEO and improving my knowledge of general online Marketing strategies plus I am writing to my blog every day while at the same time maintaining my business.
Well with all that going on I kinda got into overload and I found my learning process was slowing down things just seemed to take a lot longer to sink in, I know the new stuff I am taking on board is so much more advanced than the things I have done up till now, but I am one of those people who learn very quickly as rule so it wasn’t sitting very comfortably with me that things were slowing down it was a very clear indicator something needed to change.
When I stood back and looked at what was happening here I realised that I had reached a point where I needed help, I need a tutor! So now I am expanding my Mastermind group to include a skill set I don’t have.
My message to you today is don’t wait until the frustration level gets too high or you begin to feel like things are slowing down, step back and revaluate your position and make any changes you need to make to stay on track. In my case I revaluated my goals and I decided I want to stay on the same time line I had originally set so I looked at what other potential solutions there were and for me that solution is get a tutor. That way I get to get the work done that I want done I will learn new skills, achieve my objectives and I will have a new member for my mastermind group!
Yours in Success
