Back in 1970’s a band called the Masters Apprentices wrote these lyrics and today the lyrics of this chorus just kept going through my mind “ do what you wanna do Be what you wanna be, yeah…..do what you wanna do, be what you want to be yeah!!
Every had one of those days when you hear a song and then you find yourself singing it or humming it all day long! It happens to me every now and then and no matter how hard I try I can’t stop singing the damn thing. Today however these particular lyrics had a really strong meaning for me a meaning that really I wanted to share with you.
As you are probably aware many people struggle attempting to reach the level of financial success they want from their network marketing business, perhaps even people you know? They know that Network Marketing works, they know that there is no barrier to that success, (age, education, gender or personality type), they know what skill sets are required, they know where to get the training to develop the skill sets for FREE and yet it just doesn’t happen. And many people complain that it is hard or it’s not working for them and they just don’t know what to do next.
If you sit and talk with some of these people to find out why they are feeling that way, and you get them to tell you what they did that didn’t work out, often they tell you that they did something once it didn’t work so they don’t feel good about doing that again, or they tell you they haven’t really had a chance to do the things they need to do yet because, there’s lots been going on! they haven’t had the time!!! These are not reasons for not taking action they are just excuses, and many times they are excuses because, a, they truly don’t believe that they know what to do, or b, the desire they have is built around the end results of financial success not about being a skilled successful Network Marketer.
So why does this happen? Why do people join a Network Marketing business and then not do the work? There are a couple of reasons and I believe the first one is that many people see the dream of success in Network Marketing, the big incomes, the great houses, all the trips, the talked about lifestyles, and they genuinely like what they see, BUT what they don’t always see is the hard work, commitment and persistence that got these people there, so they see some kind of fairy tale, make a wish world.
The second reason is and this is the one I really want to deal with is, most people want to be successful however they believe they are not, for whatever reason, perhaps they didn’t finish school or someone told them they weren’t smart enough or good enough to be really successful. No matter what the reason is for having the belief, if a person has a belief that they are not successful then that is how it must remain until that person changes their belief to the truth that they can “be what they wanna be” so they do what they wanna do” yeah! Which means being successful, right where you are!
So let’s say you want to be a successful Network Marketer how do you do that if you have never done it before? Step number one is to just start feeling successful exactly where you are doing the things you are already doing.
Start looking at the things that you do, that you have succeeded at, if you have a job think about the successful things you have done it that job. If you play sport think about what you have done successfully in playing sport, or if you are person who makes friends easily think about the successful aspects of being a friendly person, build a bank account of personal success stories not matter how big or small and keep making regular deposits until you reach the point where the reality is really kicking in and you start believing in you and that you are the success you truly are.
You have been successful already in many areas of your life, you learned to walk, talk, dress yourself, and take a bath. You have learned to read, have an opinion, make friends, get a job, drive a car how many other things can you think of that you have successfully learned and done in your life?
So put pen to paper and start listing everything you have ever achieved, no matter how trivial it may seem to you, write them all down, review the list, add to it regularly and begin to celebrate your successes and begin to feel the success you already are.
If you take the time to do this you will get the result of being what you want to be, but it starts now, success does not come to you, you must go to success and the only way there is to start feeling successful.
People all too often think that when they have reached their financial success in Network Marketing they will feel differently about themselves and then they will believe that they are a success, well guess what it is the other way around, when you believe you are a success, greater success will come to you.
Get ready to live the successful life you want to live believe in you and what you can do and before you know it you be doing what you wanna do, being what you wanna be YEAH!
