I was asked today how do you tell if a person has the potential to be a 3%er? Firstly let’s establish a very important fact and that is, that everyone has the potential to be a 3%er, but not everyone will use that potential.
So perhaps we should rephrase the question to, How do you know if a person is going to use their potential to be a 3%er?
If you really listen to what people are saying to you, your ability to identify potential 3%er’s will improve greatly
Let me show you how good your 3%er radar is already! Let’s say you talk to a person about your Network Marketing Business opportunity, this is a new prospect and you have taken the time and the interest and asked lots of questions about them and found out:
- The person doesn’t have the money they need to live the lifestyle they want
- They want to spend more time at home with the family.
- They say they are really keen to make changes in their lives because they are sick of not living the way they want to live.
Are they a potential 3%er’s? It sure sounds like it doesn’t it. They want more than they currently have and they say they are keen to make changes. So let’s just take this a little further and see what comes out next.
So now you ask the question, are they open to looking at an opportunity that could potentially address their issues of a lack of money and time?
They say yes and you introduce them to your Business Opportunity by either taking them to a meeting or getting them on a three way call with your upline.
You follow up with them and they say either:
- I would like to know more about your business I have some question’s I would like to ask you. or
- Thanks for inviting me but it’s not for me right now. or
- No that things one of those pyramid things, the bloke I work with told me about.
Which one is the potential 3%er? Yes your right number 1. And also number 2 is a potential because they have just said it’s not for them right now, things could change. But number 3 has a closed mind and hasn’t shown the slightest interest in finding out if what he has heard is correct, so at this point they have closed themselves off to potentially being a 3%er. Not just because they said no but because they have a very closed mind and they are taking on board information from an unqualified source.
Potential 3%er’s have a more positive attitude than the majority of people have. They usually want more than they currently have and are willing and eager to learn how to get it.
They have a certain pep in their step, they see opportunities instead of problems.
They are usually very optimistic and they look for things they like and what’s great about things, rather than what’s wrong.
They are much more solution oriented than most people. Potential 3%er’s realise they must give before they get, they are often involved in helping others and they nearly always have a can do attitude. Ask a potential 3%er how they are and they usually respond with something like, I’m great thanks or I’m fantastic and how about you?
Identifying a potential 3%er is really a matter of paying attention to the kind of language a person uses. The type of language people use in spontaneous conversation is often a good indicator of how they really see the world.
So increase your listening skills and really pay attention to what people are saying and you will find it will help you identify potential 3%er’s much easier
