How many times have you heard this question? How can I succeed in Network Marketing? Maybe you have even asked this question. Is there a real answer to this question or is the ability to succeed in Network Marketing a pipe dream that only a gifted few will achieve
Let me ask you this, have you ever attended an event or gone to a meeting and as part of the presentation you’ve heard there was an incredibly dynamic speaker who, you think is not to dissimilar to you. You’re around the same age, similar education level and background. The only difference is this guy has been able to succeed in Network Marketing, while you haven’t. You listen intently to what he has to say and you being to feel really inspired because you believe this guy really seems to have the answers.
After listening to his incredible story of how he rose from broke to a 6 or 7 figure income which placed him at the top of his companies pay plan you rush to get to speak with him, with both ears wide open ready for “the” answer to the million dollar question, and so you ask. What do I need to do to succeed in Network Marketing?
He gives you the following answer
- Set your goals
- Know your why
- Learn your Industry
- Use your company products
- Expose people to your business opportunity every single day
- Follow them up
- Ask for referrals
- Attend events
- Use a system so that your team know what to do
- Be persistent and consistent
- Stay focused
- And Simply, Do, teach and then teach to teach
You hear it all and you walk away thinking one of two things either he isn’t sharing everything he knows with me or he doesn’t know anything different to anyone else because I have heard this all before.
So I hear you are saying get on with it, what is it that you REALLY need to succeed in Network Marketing? If you heard everything this guys has said and as you say you have heard it all before, AND you are doing all that stuff, how come you’re still not succeeding?
Is it that I am in the wrong company? you ask.
Not necessarily!
Does your company have great products?
Do they have a sound compensation plan?
Are they a stable company, been around for a while?
Do they have great founders?
Do the values and the philosophies of the company run parallel with yours?
Are other people succeeding in the company?
Do you believe in the company and the products?
If you answer yes to these questions, then you’re not in the wrong company.
Perhaps it’s your upline’s fault
Okay, ask yourself these questions.
Does my upline stop me doing what I need to do?
Does my upline force me to do things that are contrary to what the successful ones say?
If your answer is no then it’s not your upline’s fault.
Whilst it certainly makes it easier to have an upline that you love working with, this is not the reason you are not succeeding in Network Marketing. My upline quit so there’s living proof for you that it isn’t upline’s fault.
There are skills to learn there is no doubt about that, but you are an adult person who has decided they want to do something that is a set of taught skills. It’s really important to understand and expect that they are taught skills not a one off rare talent.
If you understand the skill set and you are willing to learn them then you too can succeed in Network Marking.
If you are not willing to learn the skills that’s okay, the Network Marketing Industry is not for you and that’s fine it isn’t for everybody, just like body building isn’t for everyone either.
So still you ask… What is the silver bullet?
IF you are doing EVERYTHING the people who succeed in Network Marketing are doing and you’re not getting the same results they are getting, then you really must look at your belief and expectation.
You must believe and expect that you will succeed.
I you are fearful that you will not succeed don’t worry, fear is only a lack of belief in either you or your business or both and both of these beliefs can be changed.
Creating a positive belief and expectation is simple, it just requires, desire, persistence and consistence.
- Listen or read Success stories everyday, turn your car or ipod in to a success university
- Get yourself into a system like MSLP that has a competed vault of how to’s and success stories to overcome the strongest doubt.
- Also I recommend reading great books like Jeff Olsen’s Slight Edge.
- Go to the mindset page on this site you will find a number of e-books down load them they are all free and are loaded with information that will help you build your belief.
- Understand you have the right and the ability to succeed just like anyone else
Achieving success in Network Marketing is not some hidden rare secret that you have to belong to an inner sanctum to have access to. It simply comes down to What you believe and expect and what you are doing.
A super simple and easy way to believe in you, is this. I did it and believe me if I can you can!
