I had an interesting discussion yesterday with a very close friend of mine, and the discussion was about whether or not someone else could create success in Network Marketing doing what I do when perhaps they don’t have the same skills, the same background or the same knowledge as me?
My answer was very simple all people can learn what they need to learn when they really want to do or be something.
I can go back a few years (well probably more than a few!) and I remember I used to get my former husband to write things for me because I believed he was much better at writing than I was because firstly he had a much better education than me and secondly he was a good copy writer and possessed some pretty good writing skills!
So every time I wanted something written for a Newsletter or maybe some promotional material written I would give him an outline of what I wanted covered. I would give him the subject matter, the opinion I wanted conveyed and the objective I wanted to achieve. Apart from a few heated words from time to time this system worked pretty well.
EXCEPT I was not expanding my skills and learning to do what I really wanted to do. I actually wanted to do my own writing I really liked the idea of expressing my point of view, but I believed my education level held me back so I didn’t even try.
I was fortunate enough one day to attend a seminar with one of Australia’s and possibly the world’s greatest communicators by the name of Alan Pease and he and his partner Paul Dunn had just released a book called Write Language. I was so inspired by what I heard from these two guys that I decided I would buy the book and study it.
Well study I did and you know what I found, I really began to enjoy writing. I wrote some terrible “stuff” and I learned to laugh about it, get over it and then write material that I thought was okay and got me the results I wanted.
So does that mean that everyone who wants to be successful in Network Marketing or online marketing has to go out and by a book about writing and study and practise it until they believe in their ability to write? Heck No! But it does mean that if you want to create the skills to write you can.
If you have no desire to write there is a whole world of talent out there that will do the writing for you. Just Google copy writers and pages and pages of them will come up. You can then communicate with then tell them what you want written and they will do all the writing for you.
Another place I recommend you go to www.odesk.com I find this site amazing and for just a few dollars you can get all sorts or services. They have copy writers and all sorts of different services, check them out, I am sure you will find some great support there. I actually use them for some help on the technical side of my blog they are fast and effective.
But you know what if writing is not your thing, you could choose to create a presence on the Internet by video if that’s what you like doing, in fact Video is a very powerful way of communicating. The question is here not so much can someone create success in Network Marketing doing what I do without the same skill set? Because the answer to that is really simple Yes they can. The real question is, are people willing to do what it takes to be successful in Network Marketing? Are they willing to learn the skills they need to learn to get the results they want to get?
I would suggest that you establish exactly who and what you want to be. If you want to be a huge Success in Network Marketing understand what skills are needed and if you don’t have them don’t worry you can learn them. Just because you can’t do something right this red hot minute doesn’t mean that will always be the case because if the desire is there you can learn to do anything, and every skill needed to be successful in Network Marketing is a learned skill
This journey called life is about being the best we can be at what we want to be! And we can be anything we choose. So make the right choice for you do some research find someone who is doing things the way you would like to do them and do what they do.
Yours in Success
